About Joshua Savoie
From banking to advising
I’m Joshua Savoie, an Investment Advisor Representative with Stone Wealth Partners, a boutique wealth management firm in Lafayette, Louisiana. I earned my degree in finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and spent several years working in banking. Those experiences gave me a practical perspective on the financial questions people face and the value of thoughtful guidance as their lives and priorities change.
Stories as part of legacy
Alongside my wife, Olivia, I co-founded Raconteur Life Story Writing to help preserve personal and family stories for future generations. That work deepened my understanding of legacy: it includes the resources people build, as well as the experiences, values, and lessons they hope to pass along.
Why this blog exists
Becoming a financial advisor fulfilled a lifelong ambition. At Stone Wealth Partners, I help people think through the decisions involved in building, protecting, and using wealth. Through What We Pass Down, I write about markets, everyday money, financial planning, and family legacy—looking beyond the headlines to the choices that matter over time.
